Okay. I feel that it's a waste that we have an entire section of the forum dedicated to red dragons and there are only two different threads. Anyway:

Red dragons...would you consider them fire dragons? I'm not talking about a dragon that breathes fires, but I mean a dragon that was born about and around fire, such as volcanoes and whatnot. I personally think, yes, they were born where fire and heat was abundant. There are a few dragons that have this trait, gold, red, maybe even black dragons (though I personally don't think black dragons are).

I dunno. I'm really just trying to add a new thread to this section so it's not a complete waste. Heh heh.

Erm... By born around fire, do you mean that they live around those places and hatched from eggs in those places, or actually born from the flames???

Yeah, I guess I was a bit vague on that. I dunno, whatever you really think is more plausible. I mean, I for one would think it's hard for anything besides phoenixes to be born of flames (and they're actually born from ash). But whatever. In or around, born or hatched.

Yeah, I think the whole living in those places is kinda likely.

Yes, I think most likely think the Red Dragons would live around volcanos or something. Or maybe just in an area where it is warm.

I agree. Maybe this section should become elemental, gold, black, and red or something like that.

I suppose that is is possible that red dragons live around or near fire or very warm places. Kinda funny because my screen name is RedDragon5 and where I live it's 100 degrees fahrenheit outside.

well me I love the heat and really hate the cold. But the humidity gets to me. I dought any of dragonkind could take all this humidity.. Other then that give me the heat anyday.

That's why (I'm not dragonkin) but I know I would be a frost dragon, all of my activities and sports are more common in colder places and when I'm in the heat for too long, I faint. Once in school, everyone was fine and I was sweating like crazy and everything went dizzy, it's was nuts.

You see, I'm am a red dragon. And I love the heat. That is why I put this up. Outside today where I live, it was 95 degrees F. and I would rather have been outside than inside where it was 75. To be truthful, if it's less than 60 F, I think it's too cold out. Haha, I think I'm cold blooded.

Right I agree It shouldn't really matter what color a dragon is. Like it dosn't matter what color a person is. A dragon or human should be able to live were ever it chooses despite the color. A brown dragon dosn't have to live in a desert a green dragon dosn't need to live in a forest and a red dragon dosn't need to live around volcano. Dragons like humans are inteligent enough to adapt to any sort of climet it wishes to live in.

See, this is good input. Though I never said they HAD to live around volcanoes or hot places, I said I think they might. But this is good input, which is the main reason I started this thread. Heh heh.

Fire...Dragons, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *Starts a large bonfire and starts to dance* weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I love to dance around fire..... and I'm a dragon. Isn't life great?
I live by volcanos, there's lots of shineys around volcanos:D

As far as I know everything comes from fire at the birth of all galaxies, stars, and planets. The building blocks of life are in the stars:P

Well, a Red Dragon egg may require a very hot temperature to incubate. If thats the fact then yeah, perhaps.
